Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Project Lead to join the Engineering team in Wichita, Kansas. You will lead projects ensuring on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery of design and certification documentation for Airbus aircraft globally.

The role involves coordinating with Heads of Engineering and Heads of Skills across local and international Airbus teams, managing budgets, and driving technical project management knowledge throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and mechanics of materials.
• Minimum thirteen (13) years total engineering experience with airframe structures and/or system installation projects.
• Authorized to Work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Support development of resource planning and budget alignment for the organization’s annual operating plan.
• Develop project budgets, secure workload and targets, and communicate attributes related to business performance including travel and subcontracting.
• Establish project requirements and commitments for internal and external teams.
• Facilitate Design Reviews with Chief Engineering and Technical Representatives to support program milestones.
• Develop, report and analyze KPIs to internal and external customers.
