Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, AL seeks an Engineering Lead of Systems Upgrades Engineering. You will lead a high-visibility team delivering avionics system upgrades on in-service commercial aircraft, interfacing with multiple Airbus departments worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience leading large diverse engineering teams in aviation.
• Authorized to Work in the US.
• Experience leading a technical aviation team.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and sustain an engineering team for avionics systems upgrades.
• Ensure on-time, on-cost and on-quality delivery of aircraft modification projects.
• Manage budget, resources, and outsourcing activities for the team.
• Represent the team in leadership meetings and cross-functional reviews.
• Collaborate with Airbus colleagues in Hamburg and Toulouse on methods and certification.
