Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama seeks an Engineering Lead of Systems Upgrades Engineering to guide a high-visibility avionics modification program. You will manage an engineering team, partner with cross-functional groups, and ensure delivery on schedule and budget while maintaining safety and compliance.

You will liaise with global teams and senior stakeholders, shaping the future of Airbus aircraft upgrades and maintaining a strong professional network across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience leading large diverse engineering teams in the aviation industry, engineering, project management, design/production.
• Authorized to Work in the US.
• Experience leading a technical team of aviation personnel.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organization skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bill of materials, compliance documentation and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team for avionics upgrade programs.
• Ensure on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery of aircraft modification projects.
• Collaborate with global teams in Hamburg and Toulouse on methods, certification, and compliance.
• Manage budgets and outsourcing activities.
• Represent the team in program reviews with internal stakeholders.
