Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT, is seeking motivated candidates for its Engineering Development Program (EDP). You will contribute to engine materials development, testing, and analyses for both commercial and military applications, gaining hands-on experience across multiple rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM major by start date.
• Experience with common materials characterization and test methods (mechanical testing, thermal analysis, spectroscopy, microscopy).
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for engine component, materials and/or chemical process development, analyses, testing and other support functions for both commercial and military engine applications.
• Specific tasks may include mechanical testing, structural analysis or structural software tool development, materials analysis, metallurgical or chemical analysis, inspection processes or coating property analysis.
• Document and analyze data/results, prepare reports and presentations, draw conclusions and make recommendations based on their findings.
