Job summary

Actalent in Round Rock, TX seeks a Software Engineer to design, implement, test, and integrate software for aircraft systems, including real aircraft and high-fidelity simulations. You will develop documentation, follow established processes, and contribute to flight-test activities throughout the software life cycle.

Requires C++ and embedded software expertise, 2+ years in embedded systems, and familiarity with Linux, Simulink, and control systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
2+ years of experience in software development for embedded systems.
Experience in aerospace and defense industries is preferred.
Familiarity with Linux, Simulink, and control systems.

Responsibilities

Develop software for new and existing aircraft systems.
Integrate and test software on aircraft and in simulation environments.
Support flight test activities.
Develop design documentation for internal and external use.
Adhere to defined software development processes.
Develop software test plans and procedures to demonstrate compliance with system requirements.
Participate in planning, designing, testing, and deploying engineered systems and software.
