Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Software Test / Integration Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and release of advanced software and hardware systems used in aerospace and in-flight entertainment platforms. This contract role is onsite in Irvine, CA, offering hands-on experience across embedded systems, aerospace tech, and large-scale software platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE/Software Eng or related field.
• 0-3 years in software/systems testing, integration or hardware testing.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux OS, basic Linux admin, and test procedure execution.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware and software integration of new and existing systems, LRUs.
• Execute integration and verification testing to validate functionality.
• Configure and maintain test rack environments.
• Support software release verification and regression testing.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and validation activities.
• Document testing results and defects thoroughly.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
