Actalent in Houston is seeking a Software Architect to define and realize real-time, safety-critical flight software architectures for autonomous space vehicles, providing hands-on technical leadership across the full software lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide verification and validation in HIL environments, and drive agile project management while delivering reliable, maintainable embedded solutions for mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in mission-critical software development.
• Defined and implemented software architectures for embedded/flight software.
• Strong real-time embedded systems design, analysis, development, integration and verification.

Responsibilities

• Define flight software architectures for real-time, safety-critical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit and refine requirements and designs.
• Lead verification activities to ensure compliance with safety-critical standards.
• Oversee development of fault-tolerant flight software for autonomous space vehicles.
• Guide the design, implementation and integration of real-time embedded components.
• Oversee creation and execution of unit tests to ensure code quality.
• Lead validation using Hardware-in-the-Loop environments.
• Drive release of real-time embedded software aligned with mission requirements.
• Lead and contribute to technical documentation and verification plans.
• Communicate progress, risks and issues to stakeholders clearly.
• Implement and maintain agile project management throughout lifecycle.
