RTX/Cedar Rapids is offering a 2027 Summer/Fall Engineering Co-op for a student majoring in Electrical Engineering with interests in hardware design and support. The role merges classroom theory with practical engineering on embedded digital/analog circuitry for multicore processing and graphics/display hardware.

Based in Cedar Rapids, this onsite co-op runs May/June through December, with opportunities to learn across design, verification, and factory support while contributing to real-world

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with digital circuit design parameters (throughput, rise time, clock frequencies, propagation delay).
• Experience with computer hardware components (processors, memory, interfaces), and characteristics (throughput, processing architecture, timing).

Responsibilities

• You will assist Senior Electrical Engineers in the design, development, support and documentation associated with both digital and analog circuitry.
• You will lean into expanding knowledge across all phases of electrical hardware design, including requirements capture, design, layout, test/verification, integration, factory transition, and factory support.
• You will do analog and digital electronics design and testing.
• You will work on component analysis and troubleshooting of electronic circuitry.
