Job summary

RTX’s Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a 2027 Summer/Fall Engineering Co-op for Electrical Engineering students. The role focuses on hardware design support for digital and analog circuitry in embedded systems, involving FPGA, memory, high-speed interfaces and networking components.

Onsite role, typically May/June to December, offering exposure to hardware development lifecycle from requirements to factory support, with potential for full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field and enrolled through internship/co-op session.
• Experience with digital circuit design parameters (throughput, rise time, clock frequencies, propagation delay).
• Experience with computer hardware components (processors, memory, interfaces) and characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior electrical engineers in design, development, support and documentation of digital and analog circuitry.
• Expand knowledge across phases of electrical hardware design: requirements, design, layout, test/verification, integration, factory transition, support.
• Perform analog and digital electronics design and testing; analyze and troubleshoot circuitry.
