Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, is offering a 2027 Summer/Fall Engineering Co-op for Electrical Engineering students. You will assist senior engineers with digital and analog hardware design for embedded systems, and gain hands-on experience across requirements capture, design, verification, and factory support.

Based at our Cedar Rapids site, this onsite role runs May/June through December, with exposure to multicore processing, FPGA memory interfaces, and high-speed networks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field and enrolled through internship/co-op session.
• Experience with digital circuit design parameters (throughput, rise time, clock frequencies).
• Experience with computer hardware components (processors, memory, interfaces).

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Electrical Engineers in design, development, support and documentation of digital and analog circuitry.
• Expand knowledge across requirements capture, design, layout, test/verification, integration, factory transition, and factory support.
• Perform analog and digital electronics design and testing; analyze and troubleshoot circuitry.
