Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced electronic assembler/repair technician for 2nd shift. You will assemble and repair electronic units, identify parts, solder components, read engineering prints, and operate assembly equipment.

Responsibilities include maintenance manuals interpretation, chemical handling, and collaboration with maintenance staff. Training is provided for ~60 days; weekend/holiday support may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or in the absence of a HS Diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Assembling/repairing a variety of electronic units using prescribed repair techniques.
• Identifying correct parts, components, wires, and other materials
• Removing suspect and failed components
• Soldering electronic components and using other hand tools
• Installing new components
• Operating assembly machines
• Measuring, mixing, and applying chemicals and adhesives
• Reading and interpreting technical data such as component maintenance manuals, assembly instructions, and engineering prints
• Effectively communicating work status to team members and support staff (e.g. shift pass down, engineering, maintenance)
• Utilize proficient computer skills and knowledge of office software applications.
• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30 - 10:30 pm
• Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm for ~60 days.
