Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Quality Inspector to perform inspections, tests, and evaluations on materials and products. You will document results, support MRB activities, and drive corrective actions using structured methods like 5-Why and 8D.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with production teams to ensure compliance with AS9102 First Article requirements and relevant QA standards. Ideal candidates read engineering drawings and GD&T, hold an engineering/technical degree or equivalent

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering/technical field with 5+ years of quality experience or Bachelor's with 1+ year.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Experience with nonconformance documentation and corrective action processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections, tests, and evaluations on materials, components, and finished products.
• Lead or support root cause investigations using 5-Why, fishbone, 8D, fault tree.
• Prepare and review First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102.
• Document quality results and maintain records in quality management systems.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues.
• Review and approve manufacturing documentation and as-built records.
