Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced Inspector to program, set up, and operate multiple inspection technologies to verify aerospace components. You will perform first article, in-process, final and receiving inspections, delivering dimensional data to machinists and engineers, and tracking discrepancies.

The role requires 5+ years of aerospace inspection experience, GD&T proficiency, and strong communication. Strong emphasis on accuracy, calibration, and process improvement within an industrial

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum in dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
• Laser Tracker experience.
• Blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 standard.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in the use of precision hand tools, gages, optical comparator, and surface plate work.
• Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, schedules, and operational demands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain professional relationships.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Program, setup, operate, and assist multiple inspection technologies (Taylor Hobson, Blue light, CMM, laser tracker, Romer arm).
• Perform first article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections.
• Provide dimensional feedback to machinists and engineers.
• Document, track, and close discrepancy reports.
• Maintain and track inspection equipment calibrations.
• Support process improvement initiatives and maintain file/configuration control.
