Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced inspector to join the Operations team. You will perform dimensional inspections on aerospace components using Laser Trackers, CMMs, Blue Light Scanners, and Romer Arms, aligning with engineering drawings and GD&T specs.

You will program and operate measurement software and maintain inspection data accuracy across multiple projects. You will read drawings, generate NCRs, and collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production teams to drive quality and

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace or precision manufacturing components.
• GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-2009 and ASME Y14.5-2018.
• Proficient with precision hand tools, gages, optical comparators, and surface plate inspection techniques.
• Experience with metrology systems (Laser Tracker, CMM, Blue Light Scanners, Romer Arms, Taylor Hobson).
• Ability to inspect tight tolerance, high value components with accuracy and repeatability.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 quality systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections using metrology systems including Laser Trackers, CMMs, Blue Light Scanners, and Romer Arms.
• Program, setup, and operate measurement systems utilizing software such as Spatial Analyzer or PC-DMIS.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and design data to inspect machined components.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final dimensional inspections of aerospace components and assemblies.
• Create and manage data analysis templates and inspection reports using Excel.
