Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Demand Planner II to develop and maintain a time-phased demand plan for a portfolio of aerospace programs. You will shape inputs from Program Management, Business Development, and Finance into a cohesive plan for SIOP cycles and supply planning.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between demand, capacity, and hiring plans, using robust forecasting, scenario analysis, and data visualization to inform leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years in demand planning, forecasting, SIOP/S&OP or related roles with forecast accountability.
• ERP experience and advanced Excel.
• Working knowledge of MRP logic and BOMs, lead times, order policies, and planning parameters.
• Ability to integrate quantitative and qualitative data for defensible planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the demand plan for an assigned portfolio across horizons.
• Create a rolling 0-12 month demand profile for builds, buys, capacity, and hiring.
• Align demand with supply plans and manage SIOP demand process for programs.
• Gather inputs from IPTs, PM, BD, and Finance to shape demand plans.
• Translate milestones into time-phased unit and rate demand across programs.
• Publish forecast accuracy and bias; drive corrective actions.
• Lead monthly SIOP demand review and communicate changes and risks.
• Support short-term execution to resolve near-term variances.
• Build dashboards to visualize demand health and risks.
