Job summary

AMS Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator for its AMS Operations business unit in Torrance, CA, to manage multiple aerospace/defense projects in a fast-paced environment.

The role collaborates with Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance to ensure on-time delivery, procurement planning, and supplier coordination. A bachelor's degree and 3 years in project coordination, plus ERP experience, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using MS Project or Smartsheet.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage own workload and communicate progress.
• Flexible, adaptable, problem solver.
• Limited travel for supplier and customer visits.

Responsibilities

• Correspond with suppliers and negotiate component pricing.
• Plan and manage procurement and supplier selection with Production and Engineering.
• Draft purchase orders in support of procurement plans.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain and update project schedules and status.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and service providers to meet milestones.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance teams.
