Job summary

AMS Group, Inc. is seeking a senior-quality professional to lead the Torrance Operations quality team.

This role focuses on implementing quality strategy, overseeing inspections, and driving non-conformance resolution to ensure defect-free aviation/defense products. The position requires a four-year degree and at least five years in aviation/defense quality manufacturing, with strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in business/management, supply chain, engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five years of work experience in manufacturing, with aviation and defense quality manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Support AMS Group, Inc quality strategy and initiatives at Torrance Operations facility.
• Oversee inspections of supplier and customer orders and identify non-conformances.
• Manage customer complaints and determine rework or replacement.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to approve recovery plans for conforming products.
• Maintain Quality Issue Log and report status in Program Management Review meetings.
• Oversee calibration of measurement devices and ensure calibration schedules.
• Maintain QMS processes, perform internal audits, and support 3rd party audits.
• Support registrations to aid new business opportunities.
• Lead quality team at Torrance Operations and promote skill development.
• Analyze data to evaluate organizational, customer and supplier performance.
• Communicate information effectively across the organization.
