Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Customer Technical Service Engineer II to support PW1500G/PW1900G engine models. This onsite role focuses on resolving in-service issues, developing technical solutions, and ensuring safe, reliable fleet operation worldwide.

You will work with airlines, MROs, field teams and suppliers, contributing to manuals and service data while traveling up to 10–20% as needed. A STEM degree and 2 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field.
• Relevant experience: demonstrated ability to analyze technical issues, communicate engineering information, and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Resolve in-service technical issues by investigating airline customer questions and system-level engine events, coordinating with engineering and field teams, and providing timely technical recommendations.
• Develop customer-facing technical solutions by initiating Engineering Authorizations, Special Instructions, Service Bulletins, maintenance documents, and related engineering data to address controls and externals hardware issues and improvements.
• Support global fleet operations by contributing to Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Engine Manuals, and Clean, Inspect & Repair documentation while responding to customer and MRO technical needs to maintain shop throughput and minimize operational disruption.
• Represent Pratt & Whitney across the aerospace industry by presenting technical information in airline and MRO meetings, customer councils, conferences, and technical reviews while coordinating with program offices, Chief Engineers, Customer Field Directors, Component Integrated Product Teams, regulatory authorities, field service representatives, and other stakeholders to implement fleet solutions.
