Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney business unit is seeking an experienced engineer to execute and validate centrally managed controls hardware and software for aviation systems. You will develop standard practices, contribute to automation goals, and collaborate across teams to ensure robust OT architectures.

The role requires a strong background in industrial electrical/software engineering, hands-on experience with PLCs, Ignition scripting, and networked control systems, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

US citizen or eligible for US Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years in automated manufacturing systems.
Strong communication and professional maturity.

Responsibilities

Create and implement standards for controls hardware and networks.
Perform design validation and documentation for OT architectures.
Develop software standards including PLC programming and Ignition scripting.
Maintain data collection templates and SDN/ firewall considerations.
Collaborate with operations to ensure system flow and safety requirements.
