Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Composites Machining Process Specialist for the 2nd shift to produce high-precision ceramic matrix composite parts and support process excellence. You will operate CNC equipment, inspect parts, and collaborate with engineers on SOPs, MPDs, and EHS compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, hands-on machinery skills, and strong problem-solving ability to drive quality and efficiency in aerospace manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on experience with complex equipment operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with GD&T.
• Strong attention to detail and precise measurement capabilities.
• Problem-solving aptitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment to machine high-precision ceramic matrix composite parts.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and use precision measurement tools.
• Perform in-process quality inspections to ensure aerospace standards compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and improve process documents (MPDs, SOPs, OPs).
• Support EHS activities including waste management and environmental compliance.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
