Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a machinist to set up and operate machine tools to fabricate and repair engine components. You’ll work from blueprints, repair manuals, and planning documents, performing inspections and maintaining paperwork.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with two years’ structured training or machinist experience, plus CNC/NC or robotics experience and the ability to read drawings and shop math. Relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years in a structured training program or 2 years as a skilled machinist.
• Experience with CNC/NC or robotic equipment and ability to monitor multiple machines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and shop documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate standard machine tools and specialized equipment to make, modify, and rework parts.
• Work from plans, blueprints, procedures, and repair manuals; perform inspections and keep records.
• Assist higher skilled machinists, train others as required, and maintain safe working practices.
