Job summary

Qarbon Aerospace in the United States is seeking an engineer to analyze engineering drawings and Catia models to define part configurations and machine operation sequences. You will develop NC programs for machining parts and sheet metal, selecting cutters, speeds, and feeds for efficient tool paths.

Responsibilities include testing and modifying programs, providing input for new programs, and using Catia for manufacturability and quality assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 0–2 years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3–6 years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 7+ years related experience.
• US Citizen or Permanent resident per ITAR guidelines.
• Catia and related software such as Vericut, Fibersim, PowerInspect.
• GD&T proficiency.
• 2D drawing evaluation and interpretation.
• Operational knowledge of CNC equipment including 5 axis mills, water jet, and inspection equipment.
• Composite machining experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and Catia models to define part configurations and machine operation sequences.
• Develop NC programs for machining parts and sheet metal.
• Select cutters and set speeds/feeds for tool paths.
• Test and modify existing programs for changes.
• Provide input for new program engineering efforts.
