Job summary

ALIGN PRECISION is seeking an experienced CATIA Programmer to translate CATIA V5 design models into machinable toolpaths for large aerostructure components, machined on multi-axis gantry mills in Garden Grove, CA. You will turn complex drawings into efficient, production-ready programs and support continuous improvement on high-tech aerospace structures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CATIA V5 programming experience, hands-on use of Vericut, and a strong understanding of GD&T, fixtures, and

Qualifications

5+ years of CATIA V5 CNC programming experience for large-part aerostructures.
Experience with multi-axis gantry or large-envelope machines.
Strong GD&T reading and interpretation skills.
Proficiency with Vericut or equivalent simulation tools.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and optimize 3-, 4-, and 5-axis programs from CATIA V5 for large gantry centers.
Program aerostructure components from design models and drawings.
Maintain CATIA models, stock definitions, fixtures, and tooling libraries.
Optimize toolpaths for material removal rate, cycle time, and surface finish.
Select cutting tools and work-holding strategies for metals and composites.
Collaborate with engineering, tooling, and quality to meet GD&T and first-article standards.
Perform verification and simulation to prevent collisions and fixture interference.
Post-process toolpaths and troubleshoot post output for machine controllers.
Maintain documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
