Job summary

AtWork Personnel Services is seeking a Proposal Engineer – Bids & Estimating in White Salmon, WA to join the Business Development and Program Development team. The role focuses on evaluating RFQs, analyzing specifications, and developing cost estimates to support winning proposals.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and customers across aerospace and advanced manufacturing, with a four-day workweek and opportunities for career growth in a respected organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Composite manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, materials, and cost estimating concepts.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and related applications.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Analyze technical requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
• Maintain data integrity in estimating systems and pricing models.
• Prepare detailed proposals, bid packages, and customer correspondence.
• Present estimates and pricing recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve estimating and proposal processes.
• Track proposal activity from submission through award decision and maintain records.
