Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Wichita, KS seeks an Estimator to provide accurate cost estimates for aerospace manufacturing, collaborating with engineers and project managers to align with budgets.

Responsibilities include deriving labor, material, and process hours from RFQs, obtaining supplier quotes, maintaining cost databases, and assessing risk. Strong CNC quoting, ERP familiarity, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, finance or related field or equivalent.
• Proven aerospace estimating or cost engineering experience.
• Strong CNC quoting and estimating experience for CNC machines and wire shops.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and cost estimation tools.

Responsibilities

• Function as liaison between internal and external customers to align project requirements.
• Use RFQ drawings to determine labor, material and process hours.
• Produce accurate cost estimates from RFQ receipt through final submission.
• Collaborate with Procurement to obtain supplier quotes.
• Maintain historical cost database for bids and estimates.
• Evaluate risks and document delivery timelines and material availability.
• Plan, budget, oversee and document project aspects within budgets.
• Obtain blueprints and support materials from suppliers/engineers.
• Provide oversight and direction to keep projects on schedule.
• Track KPIs like win/loss, budget vs actual.
