Job summary

Aerotek in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Weekend Maintenance Technician to support a busy aerospace job shop. You will perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, and grinders to minimize downtime and ensure quality.

The role is weekends on 1st shift with pay between $28 and $35 per hour, and full-time weekly compensation with benefits. You will document activities in JobBoss and collaborate with production and quality teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC maintenance experience in a production environment.
Able to troubleshoot CNC mills, lathes and grinders.
Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on machine tools.
Reads blueprints and mechanical drawings for CNC equipment.
Forklift operation and 5S housekeeping in maintenance areas.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, grinders to ensure reliable operation.
Carry out unscheduled maintenance to minimize downtime.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement solutions.
Support safe, clean manufacturing environment via facilities tasks.
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools to support repairs.
Document maintenance activities using JobBoss and related apps.
Safely operate a forklift to move equipment and materials.
Maintain 5S standards in maintenance areas.
Follow company policies and safety regulations while performing tasks.
Collaborate with production and quality teams on close-tolerance machining operations.
