Job summary

Standard Aero is seeking an Aviation CNC Machinist for weekend shifts to perform setup, calibration, maintenance and operation of machining equipment for precision cuts and forms. You will read blueprints, verify dimensions with precision tools, and adjust tools for production while contributing to continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years of CNC experience, and the ability to work weekends.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years' experience with setup and operating CNC machines.
Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods.
Proficient in precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

Reads and interprets specifications, blueprints, and layouts to determine machining operations.
Computes dimensions and tolerances and measures and lays out work pieces.
Verifies dimensions using calipers, gauges, and micrometers; troubleshoots to achieve spec.
Adjusts and sets up machine tools for use by operators.
Participates in continuous improvement of cell processes.
Cross trains in related skills as needed to support production.
