Job summary

RTCA is seeking a Machinist (I-III) for its Rockford, MI location. You will perform machine setups, select tooling, load programs, and ensure parts meet specifications for aerospace components. The role includes working the Weekend Shift with a $3/hr differential.

Responsibilities include operating CNC or manual machinery, reading blueprints, and documenting quality data. Join a team focused on continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC or manual machining equipment in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges.
• Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, feeds, speeds, offsets.
• Commitment to quality and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up multiple machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, travelers, and drawings.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify part conformance and document results.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
