Aerotek is seeking a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician to support CNC mills, lathes, and grinders in a precision aerospace job shop in Grand Rapids, MI. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and document activities in JobBoss.
The role emphasizes safety, 5S organization, and collaboration with production and quality teams to ensure equipment readiness for tight-tolerance aerospace machining runs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician on CNC machines.
- Experience troubleshooting CNC mills, lathes and grinders in production.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with JobBoss or similar maintenance systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on CNC mills, lathes and grinders per schedule.
- Carry out corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues on CNC equipment.
- Maintain facilities and safety compliance in the shop.
- Update maintenance logs and work orders in JobBoss.
- Operate forklift and keep workstations 5S compliant.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams for readiness.
