Job summary

Aerotek in Fraser, MI seeks a 1st Shift CNC Maintenance Technician to maintain state-of-the-art equipment and ensure optimal performance. You will troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and train others to operate machines safely.

Responsibilities include inspecting new equipment, reading work orders, prioritizing tasks, maintaining maintenance records, and coordinating with management on fixes. This is a permanent onsite role in a climate-controlled shop with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of CNC machinery experience in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance: ball screws, gears, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Preventative maintenance including filters, fluids, oils.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting with a voltmeter (24V/110V/240V).
• Familiar with CNC mills, lathes, gear cutting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Inspect newly acquired equipment to ensure standards before use.
• Read work orders; confirm tasks fit equipment capacity and offer alternatives.
• Adhere to safety regulations to prevent hazards.
• Teach workers proper equipment operation to avoid accidents.
• Enroll in continuous training on maintenance techniques.
• Supervise purchases; test durability and replace low-performing machines.
• Perform routine servicing to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities for lifespan tracking.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and implement solutions.
• Communicate with management about faults and strategies.
• Prioritize daily work orders by importance.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
