Job summary

Envisage Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Machinist in Wichita to set up and operate 3-axis and 4-axis CNC mills and lathes for aerospace components crafted from aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.

You will perform in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and bore gauges, interpret complex drawings including GD&T, monitor tooling and offsets, and troubleshoot G-code and M-code to optimize cycles across long production runs.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Operate 3-axis and 4-axis CNC mills and lathes to aerospace specs.
• Perform in-process measurements with micrometers and calipers.
• Adjust tooling offsets and troubleshoot basic CNC programs.

Responsibilities

• Machine operation: set up and run CNC mills and lathes for aluminum, titanium, stainless steel aerospace components.
• Precision measurement: in-process checks using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, bore gauges.
• Blueprint interpretation: analyze drawings and GD&T to determine machining sequences.
• Tooling & offsets: monitor wear, adjust offsets, and change tools for consistency.
• Code proficiency: basic troubleshooting of G-code and M-code at the controller.
