FMI Aerostructures in California seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and set up 4-axis and 5-axis CNC centers, read blueprints, apply GD&T, select tools, and maintain quality. The role requires collaboration with programmers and engineers to ensure precise components and efficient production.

You will troubleshoot, monitor tool life, document setups and production records, and uphold ITAR and safety standards while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably with multi-axis equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Experience with 4-axis/5-axis CNC machining is strongly preferred.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and tooling.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.
• Load, verify, and adjust CNC programs and offsets.
• Select, install, and measure cutting tools and fixtures.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM.
• Troubleshoot machining problems and maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain production and inspection records and ensure safety standards.
