RTX Corporation seeks a Machinist to join the Columbus Forge team. You will set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment to produce precision aerospace components in a 3rd shift environment (Mon–Thu, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM).

This onsite role emphasizes quality inspections and adherence to safety and 6S standards. You will read blueprints, select tooling, and collect production data to support performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNC machining experience with Okuma and/or Fanuc 4-Axis lathes preferred.
• Machining training, military training, or Certified Manufacturing Specialist Program is a plus.
• Experience with retooling, maintenance, changeovers, and first article inspection in CNC.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products.

Responsabilités

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines, lathes and other equipment to manufacture precision aerospace components.
• Read blueprints, drawings, specifications to determine machining requirements and tooling.
• Perform dimensional inspections using precision instruments to verify quality.
• Troubleshoot machine and process issues; perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Collect production data and collaborate with team to support performance and goals.
• Follow safety, 6S, environmental and quality standards while maintaining a clean work area.
