Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, invites applications for an onsite Machinist position at the Columbus Forge team. You will set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to produce precision aerospace components.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and manuals is preferred.
• Experience with CNC machining and retooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines, lathes, and other machining equipment to manufacture precision aerospace components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and shop orders to determine machining requirements and select appropriate tooling.
• Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify product quality and ensure specifications and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machine and process issues, perform routine equipment inspections, and support preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Collect production data and collaborate with team members to support operational performance and continuous improvement.
