Job summary

Pratt & Whitney seeks a highly capable Business Unit Lead for the Rapid Prototype Casting Laboratory (RPCL) to guide development and manufacture of advanced turbine engine castings. You will lead the operations team, drive continuous improvement, safety, quality, and cost targets, and align resources with program needs.

The role requires strong leadership in a union environment, extensive experience in operations or engineering, and a track record of delivering lean solutions in aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in operations, manufacturing, operations or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• US citizenship is required for access to program/contract information.

Responsibilities

• Lead RPCL operations team including shop supervisor and planners; emphasize team building.
• Manage resources and requirements across manufacturing cells.
• Create operations schedules considering dynamic customer requirements and priorities.
• Manage projects incl. capital equipment installations; lead improvement activities.
• Establish headcount targets to meet capacity needs.
• Develop and enforce standardized operations practices across cells.
• Control costs to meet program targets and overhead budgets.
• Drive lean principles to achieve business targets.
