Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is constructing an Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) in its Asheville, NC factory and seeks an experienced Quality Leader to guide the quality organization. This leadership role will drive a culture of compliance and oversee a team spanning inspection, NDT, MRB, Gage Calibration, Metrology and more.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Operations and Manufacturing to meet customer demand, lead process improvements, and ensure alignment with Quality, CORE, and financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience with FAI, PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T.
• Root cause corrective action experience.
• PW Quality system experience.
• DMAIC, CORE, Six Sigma or Lean experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality organization to achieve business goals.
• Drive compliance culture with Operations and Manufacturing teams.
• Build out and develop Quality team incl. Inspection, NDT, MRB, Gage Calibration, Metrology and MCL.
• Secure resources (equipment, manpower) to meet goals.
• Oversee day-to-day decisions and resource allocation to meet demand.
• Lead process improvement using DMAIC, CORE, Lean to reduce costs and cycle times.
• Support quality notifications through MRB process.
• Collaborate with operations and materials to meet customer demand.
• Define plans to meet Quality, CORE and financial metrics.
