Job summary

Cambridge Specialty Company is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our aerospace tooling team. You will program CNC mills across 3-, 4-, and 5-axis configurations, develop efficient machining processes, and generate complete setup documentation for production runs.

You will collaborate with CNC operators and the tooling team to optimize fixtures, tool selections, and inspection methods, using SolidWorks and CAMWorks as core tools.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC milling experience in aerospace components required.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace machining standards.
• Experience with SolidWorks and CAMWorks preferred.
• Willingness to cross-train and collaborate with tooling teams.
• Previous CNC operator experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC mills across 3-axis, 4-axis, and 3+2 configurations.
• Develop machining processes for simple parts and co-develop strategies for complex geometries.
• Create solid models, NC code, setup sheets, and operation docs.
• Design machining fixtures and produce clear operation sheets.
• Collaborate with CNC operators during development and initial production.
• Select cutting tools and leverage the tool library while exploring new options.
• Use SolidWorks with CAMWorks for programming; Mastercam experience welcomed.
