Cambridge Specialty Company is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our aerospace tooling team. You will program CNC mills across 3-, 4-, and 5-axis configurations, develop efficient machining processes, and generate complete setup documentation for production runs.
You will collaborate with CNC operators and the tooling team to optimize fixtures, tool selections, and inspection methods, using SolidWorks and CAMWorks as core tools.
Salary commensurate with experience.
What your day looks like
You start by opening a new aerospace component model, sketching fixture concepts, and building your toolpaths in SolidWorks with CAMWorks. Before lunch, you walk the floor to partner with CNC operators on a first-article run, confirm your setup sheets are crystal clear, and fine-tune G-code and tool selections. In the afternoon, you capture lessons learned, update operation documentation, and collaborate with the tooling team to finalize fixture details. Throughout, you’re balancing precision, schedule, and cost—exactly what keeps jet engines in the air and our customers on time.
We’re an approved supplier of jet engine service tools and precision aircraft parts.
Since 1952, our team has delivered quality on schedule from our 27,500 sq. ft. modern facility—equipped for efficient, cost-effective production. With seasoned machinists and engineers, we build some of the industry’s finest jet engine service tools and critical flight safety parts and assemblies.
This is a full-time position working under the direct supervision of the Director of Quality. We’re seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer with hands‑on experience in CNC milling and a strong command of aerospace machining processes.
