Job summary

Spectrum AMT in Colorado Springs, CO seeks a Process Engineer to join the Engineering team. You will handle NPI tasks, yield and throughput improvements, technical projects, problem solving, and ensuring customer requirements are met under the Director of Engineering. Strong facilitation and communication skills are essential.

The role requires knowledge of production processes, equipment, and collaboration across functions; lean/6S experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, with 3–7 years in high-reliability environments.
• Experience with cable and harness assembly preferred.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and NASA-STD-8739.1 standards.
• AS 9100 and ISO 9001:2015 environment experience.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, BOMs, and specs.
• Experience with electrical testing (continuity, hi-pot).

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize technical projects from proposal through closeout.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve processes.
• Develop and sustain repeatable CCA processes.
• Provide input to process flows and work instructions.
• Implement lean manufacturing or 6S methodologies.
• Review drawings, schematics, and specifications.
