Job summary

kSARIA Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve production processes for military cable assembly products. The role requires hands-on problem solving, attention to detail, and knowledge of military fiber optics; training will be provided as needed.

You will supervise production staff, establish standard procedures, and design tooling to improve efficiency. The position is onsite in New Hampshire with strong benefits and opportunities for impact.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record as a manufacturing engineer with military cable assembly products.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail oriented and quality metric driven.
  • Experience with military fiber optics and connectors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IPC-620 and IPC-610 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes for new products and improve existing ones.
  • Provide training, support, and supervision to production team.
  • Establish standard assembly and test procedures.
  • Design tooling and fixtures for manufacturing needs.
  • Support proposal activity for new customers and products.
  • Create and implement new processes to increase factory efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management to set priorities and assess costs.
  • Supervise tooling operations ensuring quality and safety.

Job description

Description

This position will develop manufacturing processes for the introduction of new products into production, as well as, supporting technical problem solving related to manufacturing aspects of products already in production. The ideal candidate must be a hands-on problem solver and have a thorough understanding of military grade cable assemblies. This position will report to the Process Engineering Supervisor. Assess and provide feedback for customer cable designs

  • Provide training, support, and supervision to production team.
  • Establishes standard assembly and test procedures for the manufacture of the company's cable assembly products
  • Design and analyzes tooling and fixtures need for manufacturing
  • Support the proposal activity for new customers and products
  • Create and implement new processes and procedures to increase factory efficiency
  • Collaborates with management team to set and assess priorities
  • Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Supervises tooling operations, ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to quality and safety standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Proven track record as a manufacturing engineer with military cable assembly products
  • Knowledge of fiber optic termination processes preferred (company will train if necessary)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail oriented and quality metric driven
  • US Citizenship required for US Department of Defense work.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of all MS Office software products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of a drawing software tool such as MS Visio, AutoCAD, Solidworks, or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of IPC-620 and IPC-610 standards
  • Minimum of entry level to 5 yrs relevant experience
  • BSME, BSEE or applicable technical degree minimum
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • Familiarity with military fiber optics and military connectors is a plus.
