Job summary

Blue Origin on Merritt Island, FL is seeking an Avionics Cable Harness Design Engineer to design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, and high-speed data for spaceflight systems. You'll create 2D drawings from 3D data, support hardware installation, and help improve harness performance.

Requires a BS in Mechanical or related field and 2+ years of aerospace harness design experience; familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620A and NASA-STD-8739.4; strong 3D CAD skills (Creo).

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or related engineering field.
• 2+ years designing aerospace wire harnesses.
• Knowledge of wire derating analysis.
• Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4.
• Strong 3-D CAD skills and integration capabilities.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful residence status required.

Responsibilities

• Design and install electrical harnesses for spaceflight systems.
• Create 2D harness drawings from 3D data and specs.
• Support assembly and testing of cables and harnesses.
• Provide guidance for installation and cost-saving opportunities.
