Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced harness design engineer to lead electrical harness development for Mk1 vehicle modules. You will create wiring diagrams, 3D routed harness data in Creo, and installation drawings, guiding a small team toward safe, repeatable spaceflight.

The role requires 10+ years in aerospace harness design, strong CAD skills (Creo, Zuken, Windchill), and deep knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4 and related standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics or related field.
• 10+ years designing wire harnesses for aerospace.
• Familiar with Creo, Zuken, Windchill or similar CAD tools.
• Understand wire derating and harness standards IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4, SAE AS50881.
• Strong 3-D CAD design and system integration skills.
• Experience with manufacturability of harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, data signals.
• Create wiring diagrams (WID) and 3D routed harness data (Creo Cabling).
• Generate harness installation drawings and 2D flat drawings.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on installations.
• Support testing and integration of harnesses and cables.
