Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Avionics Cable Harness Design Engineer III (Fixed Term) in the Greater Seattle area to lead design and installation of electrical harnesses for spaceflight systems. You will create 3D routed harness data, 2D drawings, and support testing and integration with EMI/RFI considerations.

The role requires strong CAD skills, 5+ years in aerospace harness design, and familiarity with Creo, Windchill and RSD. U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or an appropriate engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience designing Wire Harnesses for the Aerospace industry.
• Experience with Creo and Windchill and Routed System Designer (RSD).

Responsibilities

• Design and install electrical harnesses for power, RF, data, and control systems in spaceflight hardware.
• Create harness detail and installation drawings from 3D harness data; produce 2D flat harness drawings.
• Support assembly and testing of cables and harnesses; report on status and cost-saving opportunities.
