Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Harness Design Engineer to contribute to the Mk1 Vehicle Electrical Harness Design team. You will develop wiring interconnect diagrams, harness drawings, and installation drawings, directly impacting spaceflight safety and repeatability.

You will work on power distribution, RF and data wiring, and support harness assembly/testing, with emphasis on 3-D CAD routing and interface with manufacturing.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Computer Engineering, or related technical subject area
• 7+ years of experience designing Wire Harnesses for the Aerospace industry
• Familiar with Creo, Zuken or Windchill or other CAD routing software such as Unigraphics NX Electrical or Catia
• Understanding and application of wire derating analysis
• Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4 harness standards
• Strong electrical/mechanical design and integration skills using 3-D CAD software

Responsibilities

• Design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, communication and high-speed data signals
• Create Wiring diagrams utilizing Zuken E3 and 3D routed harness data with Creo Cabling
• Provide technical guidance for hardware installation and harness integration
