Job summary

VIAVI Solutions, a global provider of network test, monitoring and assurance solutions, is hiring a Senior Technical Business Development Manager, Avionics Test, Americas, to drive growth with military and commercial aerospace customers. The role is based in Lenexa, Kansas, with relocation assistance and potential remote consideration for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

8+ years hands-on avionics experience in military or commercial sectors.
Experience with military customers in a technical or business development role.
5+ years in BD, applications engineering, or management, including coaching.
Excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving; able to lead through influence.
Travel approximately 50%, mainly US/Canada; some trips elsewhere in the Americas.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Americas business development team.
Develop Americas strategy for Avionics Test by analyzing market data and opportunities.
Engage military program offices, airlines, repair stations to shape test requirements.
Build relationships with key customers and represent VIAVI at meetings and trade shows.
Demonstrate VIAVI test equipment on site and provide training and post-sales support.
Provide customer feedback to product management/engineering and support product line management.
