VIAVI Solutions is seeking a Senior Technical Business Development Manager, Avionics Test, Americas, to grow sales across avionics test solutions for military and commercial aerospace customers with a primary US focus. The role reports to the Avionics Test Product Line Director and leads the Americas BD team from Lenexa, KS, with relocation assistance and possible remote work for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on avionics experience in military or commercial settings.
• Experience with military customers in technical or business roles.
• 5+ years in business development, applications engineering, or management.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Travel about 50%, mainly US/Canada, occasional trips elsewhere in the Americas.
• Bachelor’s in engineering or related field preferred; ITAR considerations apply.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and develop the Americas business development team.
• Develop Americas strategy for Avionics Test by market analysis and cross-functional alignment.
• Engage military program offices, airlines, and repair stations for test requirements.
• Build relationships with key customers and represent VIAVI at technical meetings.
• Demonstrate VIAVI test equipment on site and provide training and post-sales support.
• Influence product requirements with customer feedback to product/engineering.
• Support Avionics Test product line management projects as assigned.
