Job summary

Moog is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician II for onsite work in Torrance, CA, on first shift (6:00am-2:30pm). You will perform precision assembly and testing of hydraulic, mechanical, and electromechanical actuators for military aircraft components, reporting to the Assembly and Test Supervisor.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, 3+ years assembly experience, Blueprint reading ability, and may hold FAA A&P certification.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to follow verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
Minimum 3 years of Assembly experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic).
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification is a plus.
FAA Safety Sensitive position; must meet FAA drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Ability to read blueprints and assemble aerospace components.
Experience with precision assembly and testing of hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical actuators.

Responsibilities

Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators.
Adjust or align through shimming and other mechanical adjustments per specifications.
Use dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers to verify assembly build.
Maintain dimensional accuracy using torque wrenches and fixtures.
Run tests on actuators with hydraulic, mechanical and electronic test equipment.
Diagnose test failures and perform rework as needed.
