Job summary

Moog Inc. in Torrance, CA is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician II for 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm). You will assemble and test complex actuators for aerospace applications, reporting to the Assembly and Test Supervisor on site in Torrance, CA.

The role requires 3+ years in assembly, blueprint literacy, and experience with precision measuring tools. FAA A&P certification is a plus, and the position may require eligibility for security clearance.

Qualifications

3+ years of assembly experience across mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical, or electronic systems.
High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and follow English instructions.
FAA A&P certification is a plus.
FAA Safety Sensitive position; must meet FAA drug/alcohol testing requirements; read blueprints.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment; experience in Aerospace assembly.
Experience with precision measuring equipment such as dial indicators, calipers and micrometers; diagnose/troubleshoot issues.
Possess or be able to obtain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators.
Align through shimming and mechanical adjustments per blueprint specifications.
Use dial indicators, calipers and micrometers to verify assembly build requirements.
Maintain dimensional accuracy with torque wrenches, fixtures and gages.
Test production or repair actuators with hydraulic, mechanical and electronic test equipment; diagnose failures and perform rework.
Ensure conformance to revision letters and notify supervisor of abnormalities.
Order parts using RUR and WDS systems; document parts replaced and work performed.
