Job summary

Moog is seeking an A&T Technician II on 2nd shift in Torrance, CA to perform precision assembly of flight actuators. You will read blueprints, use precision measuring tools and assembly instructions to build complex production units for aerospace applications.

The role requires 3+ years of assembly experience, possible FAA A&P certification, and the ability to work onsite with a strong emphasis on quality and safety. Strong computer basics and mechanical troubleshooting are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow English work instructions.
• Minimum 3 years of assembly experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic).
• FAA A&P Certification is a plus.
• FAA Safety Sensitive position; must meet FAA drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience assembling aerospace actuators and related components.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment and inspection.
• Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators.
• Adjust or align through shimming and mechanical adjustments per blueprint limits.
• Utilize dial indicators, calipers and micrometers to verify requirements.
• Operate test equipment and fixtures to test actuators.
• Diagnose test failures and perform rework as needed.
• Ensure conformance to revision letters; report any abnormal conditions.
• Order parts using RUR and WDS systems; document parts and work performed.
