Job summary

Moog Inc. in Torrance, CA is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician II for 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm). The role reports to the Assembly and Test Supervisor and requires onsite work at Torrance, CA.

You will perform precision assembly and testing of aerospace actuators, reading blueprints and utilizing precision measuring tools. Candidates need at least 3 years of assembly experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of assembly experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic).
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience in aerospace assembly and testing of actuators.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators.
• Adjust or align through shimming and other mechanical adjustments per specs.
• Utilize dial indicators, calipers and micrometers to meet tolerances.
• Conduct tests on actuators using hydraulic, mechanical and electronic equipment.
• Diagnose test failures and perform rework as needed.
• Order parts using RUR and WDS systems and document work on data sheets.
